Scratch & Win Rules & Conditions
Some things to know before you claim your prize:
- Action! Library Media Service is a "gated" site -- we don't let just anybody in here; it's librarians only. We don't hate nonlibrarians, of course, it's just that we have some content that we are not allowed to sell to the general public.
- The above point is relevant because we're going to make you create a Login ID if you want to get beyond this page. If you do not have a Login ID, click on "Enter Catalog" to register. Your Login ID will be your institutional e-mail address. Your i n s t i t u t i o n a l e-mail address. We will not authorize a Login from a personal e-mail address, even if it's something like awesomelibrarian@yahoo.com. We will activate your account within 24 hours.
- If you don't happen to have an institutional e-mail address -- perhaps you're a library student, or you're in between gigs -- e-mail us directly at info@actionlibrarymedia.com and we'll help you out.
- We're not going to do anything untoward with your login information. We don't "share it with our affiliates" and we certainly don't sell it to marketers. We might send you an e-mail or two. Three, maybe.
So . . . what did you win?
If the scratch-off area on your card says FreeDVD, then you've won a DVD of Roland Emmerich's Independence Day. All right . . . that was cruel; we wouldn't do that to you. What you've actually won is an Action! Library Media Service credit worth $26.50, that can be applied to a DVD of your choice from our catalog. Except Independence Day.
If the scratch-off area on your card says Freeshipping, we will waive all Shipping & Handling charges on your first order with us.
To claim either prize, you build a cart, check out, and enter the code from your scratch-off card in the Coupon Code window. It looks like this:

- Extra legal-beagle stuff: Game cards will be distributed on the Exhibits Floor at the ALA Annual Conference in Washington D.C., June 25-28 2010. Only 1(one) prize will be awarded per winner. Winning codes expire at midnight on December 31, 2010. There are 10 (ten) tickets in total that have the free DVD code. In the unlikely event that more than 10 free DVD claims are submitted -- for any reason, including production error -- we can honor only the first ten claims that are made.
